Illinois Smart Grid Advisory Council

The Smart Grid Advisory Council (“SGAC”) has been established by the Illinois General Assembly pursuant to Article 220, Section 5/16-108.6 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes and consists of stakeholders for the purposes of advising and working with participating utilities on the development and implementation of a Smart Grid Advanced Metering Infrastructure Deployment Plan.  For more background concerning the SGAC, see Sections 16-108.5 through 16-108.8 of the Public Utilities Act (220 ILCS 5/16-108.5 through 16-108.8), available with the remainder of Article XVI of the Public Utilities Act on the website of the Illinois General Assembly.
