Libertyville business receives new designs from Illinois Main Street architects

Press Release - Sunday, October 08, 2006

LIBERTYVILLE - A logo and sign design for How Impressive! at 334 North Milwaukee Avenue have been delivered to owner Kristine Knutson by Illinois Main Street architects who met with her during a September visit to Libertyville.

The new logo was developed by Anthony Rubano and Anna Margaret Borntrager for How Impressive! and features a bold, magenta exclamation point that symbolizes the creativity and personal attention that Knutson brings to her work.  The signs for the business are a variation of the logo in magenta and brown.  How Impressive! specializes in custom stationery and invitations and carries a wide variety of paper goods and gifts in many different price ranges.  The store will also feature personalized items and holiday cards as well as individualized wrapping paper.  Although Knutson started How Impressive! out of her home three years ago, the business has become so successful that it is moving into its own retail space at 334 North Milwaukee Avenue.  The store opens for business on Sunday, October 1 at 11 a.m., with a grand opening celebration scheduled for October 20 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Because Libertyville is one of 62 Illinois Main Street cities, these designs are available at no charge to businesses in the Main Street district.  The estimated market value for each design is $2,400.  Renovation projects in this area may also qualify for an investment tax credit for historic buildings and/or a disabled access tax credit - owners are urged to contact the Main Street Libertyville office at (847) 680-0336 for details.
