NOONTIME HOLIDAY CONCERTS IN DECEMBER AT OLD STATE CAPITOL

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The sounds of the season will echo through downtown Springfield as the Old State Capitol State Historic Site once again hosts a series of noontime holiday concerts December 6 - 9 and 13 - 16.  The concerts are free and open to the public.  The interior of the Old State Capitol is a great setting to hear music performed by area youth.  Guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch to enjoy this local tradition.
           
The Old State Capitol State Historic Site, administered by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, is open for free public tours.  It is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and will also be closed Thanksgiving Day.
