Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Alexander Purcell will serve as a Member of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board.* He has devoted his professional life to supporting workers by providing strategic talent, organizational design, and management expertise. He currently serves as the Director, HR Business Partner with United Airlines, where he has helped build inclusive talent programs that directly support hiring, development and employee success. He has worked in several departments within United Airlines including Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and Talent Strategy. Prior to joining United, he was the Senior HR Business Partner for V&V Supremo Foods where he developed a company-wide safety training program, oversaw talent programs, and supported employees across the organization. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Purcell received a Bachelor and Master of Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration from Roosevelt University.

Carlos Boileve will serve as a Member on the Workers' Compensation Medical Advisory Board.* Dr. Carlos M. Boileve has been practicing medicine since 1980 and was the first Latino to be licensed as a chiropractic physician in the state of Illinois. He served on the Board of Directors and was Secretary of the Center for Research into Automotive Safety and Health (C.R.A.S.H.). From 1999-2002, he participated in crash studies through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, C.R.A.S.H., and Texas A.M. University in cooperation of the United States Naval Station At the National College of Naprapathic Medicine, he was a faculty member, Chairman of the Postgraduate Division, Dean of Academics, and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr. Boileve has received numerous honors which include two Presidential Awards for his dedication to the chiropractic profession in Illinois. He has also received an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Naprapathy and a recognition award for the dedicated services performed at the National College of Naprapathic Medicine.
