Gov. Pritzker Announces Four Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Illinois Workforce Innovation Board

Mboka Mwilambwe will serve as a Member of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board.* Mwilambwe was elected as Mayor of the City of Bloomington in 2021 and has since endeavored to collaborate with local partners to develop and retain a strong workforce. He currently also serves as the Interim Director of Equal Opportunity Ethics and Access at ISU. In this role, he provides leadership for investigations of harassment and discrimination issues, and ensures compliance of a variety of mandated state and federal reports. Previously, Mwilambwe was the Assistant Director of Equal Opportunity Ethics and Access and has experience as an Assistant Director for Student Development for University Housing Services. He has been recognized by his peers and was awarded the Star Award for Promotion of Diversity and for Outstanding New Program. Mwilambwe received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Master of Science in Education from Illinois State University.
Clean Energy Jobs and Justice Fund

Brad Roos will serve as a Member of the Clean Energy Jobs and Justice Fund.* Roos has dedicated a majority of his professional career to working with community-based organizations focused on neighborhood development, especially in the field of real estate development. Roos currently serves as the Executive Director of ZION Development Corporation, where he leads and directs all aspects of this neighborhood development work primarily in Rockford's Midtown District. Prior to joining ZION, Roos was acting Chief Operations Officer of a small faith-based nonprofit serving the Champaign-Urbana area. He is active in several professional organizations including the American Solar Energy Society, the Midtown District Association, and the Mayo'rs Task Force on the Homeless. Roos received a Bachelor of Education and Master of Education in Chemistry and Environmental Studies from the University of Illinois.
Workers' Compensation Advisory Board

Aaron Anderson will continue to serve as a Member of the Workers' Compensation Advisory Board.* Anderson currently works as Fund Administrator for the Painters District Council No. 30 Pension and Health and Welfare Funds in Aurora. Previously, he has served in various capacities for the Council as the Director of Employer Recruitment and Retention, Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Management Industry Development Fund, and on the Board of Trustees for the Employee Benefit Fund. In addition, Anderson served as the Chair and Director of the Opportunity Alliance of Illinois, Inc. Anderson earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Legal and Ethical studies from the University of Baltimore.

Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority

Vickii Coffey will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.* Dr. Vickii Coffey has an extensive career working for those impacted by the criminal justice system. Dr. Coffey currently serves as an Associate Professor at Governors State University (GSU). She previously served as the Executive Director for Goodwill Industries of Metropolitan Chicago and Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network. She has been named a Fellow for the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice and was awarded the Crime Victims Service Award by the U.S. Department of Justice. Dr. Coffey received a Bachelor of Arts and Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Social Work Administration from the University of Chicago.
