SUNDAY IS VETERAN'S DAY AT THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIR

FIVE THINGS TO DO AUGUST 15th

SPRINGFIELD, IL - Sunday, August 15th is Veterans & Gold Star Families Day at the Illinois State Fair. In honor of those who protect and serve our country, Veterans and their family members are admitted to the grounds for free with proper ID and receive discounted ride passes.

There are many exciting things to see and do at the Illinois State Fair, here are just a few highlights of the events for Sunday:

• JROTC Drill Competition at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:00 PM at Lincoln Stage
• Karaoke Finals at 1:00 PM at Grand Central Stage
• Husband & Hog Calling Contest at 2:00 PM in the Coliseum
• Veterans' Day Parade at 4:00 PM. Begins at Gate 3 and Ends at the Goat Barn
• Toby Keith with Craig Morgan at 7:30 PM at the Grandstand
