Gov. Pritzker Announces Appointments to Illinois Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration:
ILLINOIS WORKERS' COMPENSATION COMMISSION
Linda Cantrell will serve as an Arbitrator on the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission.* Cantrell currently works as an attorney for Winters, Brewster, Crosby and Schaffer. She formerly worked as a legal secretary at Mertz Law Firm. Cantrell is a current member of the Missouri Bar Association, Williamson County Bar Association, Illinois Bar Foundation, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. She earned her Bachelor of Science from St. Louis University and Juris Doctor from the Southern Illinois School of Law.
Christopher Harris will serve as an Arbitrator on the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission.* Harris currently works as managing attorney and owner of Shield Law Firm LLC and volunteers at the Cook County Arbitration Center. Previously, he served as general counsel at International Services, associate attorney at Archer Law Group and an attorney at his own firm Johnson and Harris. He is a member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations as well as the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce. Harris earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois and his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law.
METROPOLITAN PIER AND EXPOSITION AUTHORITY
Nina Grondin will serve on the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority.* Grondin is currently an owner and partner at Curioso LLC, working on hospitality projects across the United States and Mexico. Prior to founding Curioso, Grondin was a designer with The Gettys Group, working on a variety of hotel projects across the United States and Asia, as well as a strategic design planner for a number of Hilton Worldwide's focused service brands. She earned her degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. After starting her career in financial marketing, Nina studied Interior Design at the Illinois Institute of Art to pursue the creation memorable and transformative experiences within the hospitality space.
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR AND PUBLIC GUARDIAN OFFICE
Timothy Hudspeth will serve as the Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Clinton and Marion Counties.* Hudspeth currently owns and practices law at his namesake firm, Hudspeth Law Office, LLC. Previously, he worked at Hunter Law Firm and Prairie Legal Group as an Attorney. He is a former board member of the Great Salem Chamber of Commerce and Salem Community Activity Center. In addition, Hudspeth previously worked as a Law Clerk for Mathis, Marifian, Richter and Grandy as well as in the office of the Illinois Attorney General. Hudspeth earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law.
