Pritzker Administration Teams with Chicago Wolves for Veteran Jobs

The Illinois Hires Heroes Consortium (IHHC), a partnership between the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs (IDVA) and the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES), will team up with the Chicago Wolves to present the inaugural Illinois Hires Heroes Veterans Expo at the Allstate Arena on October 26, 2019. Veterans who register in advance will receive two free tickets to the Chicago Wolves game that night.

WHO: IDVA, IDES, IHHC, and the Chicago Wolves invite all veterans and military families to attend.

The expo will feature employers; federal, state, and local agencies; and speakers discussing the transition from military to civilian life and veteran entrepreneurship.

In attendance will be Secretary of State Jesse White, IDVA Acting Director Linda Chapa LaVia, and IDES Assistant State Director for Veterans Affairs Jorge Bermudez.

WHAT - A hiring event with seminars and workshops to assist veterans, active duty military, and military families with workforce readiness guidance, employment opportunities, and career and benefits resources.

WHEN - Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

WHERE - Allstate Arena, 6920 Mannheim Rd., Rosemont, IL 60018
