Illinois EPA Announces Fall 2019 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events

Press Release - Friday, September 13, 2019

SPRINGFIELD - Illinois EPA Director John J. Kim today announced the Agency has scheduled household hazardous waste collections for the fall of 2019. Illinois EPA household hazardous waste collections provide residents an opportunity to safely dispose of unused or leftover household products commonly found in homes at no cost. Currently, five sites have been confirmed for the fall with an additional three locations being finalized. The additional collections will be announced in the near future.

"As one of our most popular programs, residents are given the opportunity to clear out unused chemicals and other hazardous wastes from their homes while knowing they will be disposed of properly," said Director Kim. "We thank all our local cosponsors for providing the space, promotion and volunteers needed to make these important events possible."

One-day collections are open to all Illinois residents and operate from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the below scheduled Saturdays. The fall 2019 one-day collections are scheduled for:
