Public meeting on status of Jane Byrne Interchange
CHICAGO - The Illinois Department of Transportation will host a public meeting March 7 at the University of Illinois at Chicago to share updates on the status of the Jane Byrne Interchange project. Work will begin later this spring on rebuilding the expressway ramps within the interchange and improving the section connecting to the Eisenhower Expressway.
The meeting will be in an open-house format at the following time and location:

Exhibits will be on display and an audio-visual presentation will be shown continuously during the meeting. Project team members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
The Jane Byrne Interchange reconstruction will improve safety and traffic flow for the more than 400,000 motorists who use it each day, while also enhancing mobility for bicyclists, pedestrians and transit users in the surrounding neighborhoods.
