ILLINOIS GROWN MEDICINE AWARDED CULTIVATION CENTER PERMIT IN DISTRICT C

SPRINGFIELD -The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) announced today that Illinois Grown Medicine, LLC, has been awarded a cultivation center permit in District C.

Illinois Grown Medicine, LLC, notified the Department that it intends to accept the permit and will have 15 business days to provide the required license fee of $200,000 and escrow/bond of $2 million.

Pursuant to Section 1000.110(f) of IDOA's medical cannabis rules, permits were awarded to the two highest scoring applicants in District C. Bedford Grow, LLC previously accepted the other cultivation center permit in that district.

The Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act, established by 410 ILCS 130, requires the Department of Agriculture to provide registration and oversight of medical cannabis cultivation centers. More information regarding the program can be found online at http://mcpp.illinois.gov.
