With the re-created presidential box at Ford’s Theater in the background, actors portraying either Jason Knox or Mrs. Wade will take your guests back to the weeks following Lincoln’s assassination. Presentations are 5 to 7 minutes.
Jason Knox’s remembrance is based on his letter about what he saw that night. Though he promised his father he would “never set foot in a theater or a saloon,” he was at Ford’s Theater on April 14, 1865, “only to witness the saddest tragedy ever enacted in the country.”
Mrs. Wade’s performance is based on a letter she wrote about her brother, who “ran to the presidential box and was told to get a doctor.”
Cost of the performance is $75 per hour up to 2 hours (Payable to actor on the evening of the event).
