Current Prevailing Wage Rates

This schedule contains the prevailing wage rates required to be paid for work performed on or after September 1, 2017 on public works projects in each County.  Pursuant to 820 ILCS 130/4, public bodies in each County that have active public works projects are responsible for notifying all contractors and subcontractors working on those public works projects of the change (if any) to rates that were previously in effect.  The failure of a public body to provide such notice does not relieve contractors or subcontractors of their obligations under the Prevailing Wage Act, including the duty to pay the relevant prevailing wage in effect at the time work subject to the Act is performed.

On August 31, 2017, IDOL published technical corrections to the rates posted on August 15, 2017.  Changes will be highlighted in the rate schedule in yellow. Additionally, it has come to our attention that rates for certain Electricians, Plumbers, and Pipefitters classifications were mistakenly included in the rate schedules published for some counties. In Henry County, certain rates that had been erroneously included for the classification of Operating Engineers have now been eliminated. Rates take effect on September 1, 2017.

On September 25, 2017 IDOL published a second round of technical corrections to the Prevailing Wage schedules that were originally published on IDOL’s website on August 15, 2017.  Rates revised in the second round of corrections are highlighted in green. Rates that were revised in the first round of corrections (published on August 31) are highlighted in yellow. The corrected rates published on September 25, 2017 are effective as of the date of their publication (September 25, 2017).

Changes highlighted in pink are changes made pursuant to Section 9 challenges. Effective dates are the date the revised rates are posted, which is catalogued below the county listing on this page.
