Energy Efficiency

Illinois Energy Now Illinois Energy Now program is now closed.

As a result of recent legislation passed by the General Assembly (Public Act 099-0906), the state’s investor owned electric and gas utilities will now be the administrator of energy efficiency programs for the public sector, low income customers, and market transformation. The hand-off from the Department to the utilities will be effective June 1, 2017.

Please note, the Department will not be accepting applications for new projects on or after that date, but the Department will continue to pay out existing projects and wrap up programs after May 31st.

We encourage our customers to reach out to their local utility, establish a relationship with them, and begin to take advantage of their program offerings for future projects.
