Optional Add-ons

There are special options that will be offered enterprise wide in the future that can be provided now upon request. Their use with the templates will improve efficiency, enhance the users experience, and/or offer additional information.

Press Release Publishing System Option
In the future agencies will be asked to enter their press releases into one centralized press release application. The release may then be published to a number of locations dynamically such as the main state home, the IGNN news section and the agencies page. The entire press release database is also searchable by keyword, date or date range. The system also offers citizens the opportunity to sign up for an "E-News" subscription giving them a daily e-mail containing summaries of releases in the categories they designate. Access to the system and the required code to be placed on your site can be provided upon request at this time. (NOTE: This system is currently in use by the Governor?s Office, Lt. Governor's Office, IHPA and EPA to publish and manage All press releases)

Gallery Option
The Illinois Gallery contains 100?s of Illinois photos, 4 web cams and a cool video postcard. The Gallery Image and link may be included in the Left Navigation column on your main page under the search just as it is on the main state home. The required code to be placed on your site can be provided upon request. In the near future agencies will be able to contribute photos directly to the Gallery via a secure administrative interface and will have capabilities such as custom categories.
