On November 21, five AmeriCorps*VISTA Members began working
to make Illinois a better place for all of us. The new Serve Illinois AmeriCorps*VISTA Project places AmeriCorps Members in the Department of Human
Services' Team Illinois Program, Battered Women's Network, Lumpkin Family Foundation, and Jackson County Health Department. The Members will be serving
the communities of Chicago, Savanna, Alexander County, Eastern Illinois, and Southern Illinois. There the Members work to build capacity for volunteerism and other community efforts.
