Tech Town is an experience that gives fairgoers a unique opportunity to see how Illinois is using technology to bring services and programs closer to its citizens. Housed in the air-conditioned pavilion located on Central Avenue between the Coliseum and the high-dive show, Tech Town will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily during the August 9-18, 2002 Illinois State Fair.

August 9, 2002 - Governor Opens 5th Annual Tech Town
SPRINGFIELD -- Governor George H. Ryan today opened Tech Town at the Illinois State Fair inviting all fairgoers to take the opportunity to learn and explore state government and services. This is the 5th year Governor Ryan has opened Tech Town to provide all fair attendees with hands-on examples of government technology in action.

August 1, 2002 - Tech Town Provides Interactive Experience
Springfield, IL -- Governor George H. Ryan once again invites fair attendees to visit Tech Town at the Illinois State Fair. Tech Town is an interactive exhibit that provides citizens the opportunity to learn about the latest technology utilized across state government.
