06/11/09 - Members Appointed To The Joint Task Force On Breeders And Pet Stores
First Public Meeting to be held Monday, June 22
SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) will hold the first meeting of the Joint Task Force on Breeders and Pet Stores on Monday, June 22 at 9am in the Artisan’s Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The Task Force was established by Senate Joint Resolution 56 (SJR 56). The initial meeting will be open to the public. Doors will open at 8:30 am.

Candy Coburn will join Montgomery Gentry, Kellie Pickler and James Otto
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Illinois State Fair officials are pleased to announce an addition to one of the state fair acts this August. Up and coming country artist Candy Coburn will join Montgomery Gentry, Kellie Pickler and James Otto on Friday, August 21. With the addition of Coburn, the concert time has changed to from 8pm to 7pm with gates now opening at 6pm.
06/08/09 - Looking For Dedicated Servants To Recognize During The Illinois State Fair
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation along with Illinois State Fair officials are seeking ten individuals to spotlight in a new program this year. The Illinoisan of the Day program looks to honor individuals who make a difference in their community and show a true Illinois spirit through hard work and a dedication to helping others.
