Illinois Workforce Advantage is a place-based community development initiative which links state agencies and local communities in order to buttress local economic, communications, and human services infrastructure. IWA aims to add value to community initiatives in nine of the state’s most distressed, but resilient communities. IWA has begun to help communities break through pervasive barriers to achieve their aim of becoming good places for parents to raise children.
