Features

Illinois Atlas is an ongoing project of the Data & Mapping Services Division of the Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University.  The Data & Mapping Services Division has been creating computer generated maps since the early 1990's.

In the Great Links section of Great Lakes Information Network, you'll find a complete directory of regional, federal, state and provincial, and independent agencies and organizations serving the Great Lakes region.  These are organized by topic area to coincide with the primary sections on GLIN:  The Great Lakes, Environment, Economy, Education, Maps and GIS, and Tourism.  Also offered are links to Media Sources:  newspaper, radio and television outlets in the Great Lakes states and provinces; and a section devoted to Funding and Grants and related links to regional foundations, government funding sources and more.
