The Student Historian Program offers opportunities for students to create websites, exhibits, skits, and research papers on topics of Illinois and local history for competition in regional history fairs. Students receiving a Superior ribbon at regionals are eligible to compete at the Illinois History Day.

The education services department will be offering teacher workshops at the annual Conference on Illinois History once again. The Conference is scheduled for September 25-26, 2014. The conference is accredited by the ISBE for CPDUs.
