ILLINOIS PREVAILING WAGE RATES

 

JANITORIAL

Jurisdiction:                   MACON COUNTY

 

Wages:                         Janitor                          Start                             $8.35/Hour

After 60 Days               $8.85/Hour

 

Health & Welfare:         To be eligible, an employee must have worked or been paid for an average of eighty (80) hours a month during the previous two months (the reporting month and the prior month).  All new and reinstated employees shall have contributions start the first day of the month following sixty (60) days of employment.

 

                                    $166.00 per month effective November 1, 2003

 

Pension:                        NA

 

Vacation:                      1 year, but less than 2   years                            1 Week

                                    2 years, but less than 8 years                             2 Weeks

                                    8 years, but less than 15 years                           3 Weeks

                                    15 years or more                                              4 Weeks

 

A week’s vacation shall be determined by totaling the hours worked by the employee during the 13 pay periods preceding either the employees’ anniversary date or scheduled vacation time and dividing that total by 13.

 

Any other employee who has averaged for the fifty-two (52) weeks prior to their anniversary date sixteen (16) hours or less shall receive no vacation pay for that year.

 

 

These wage rates and fringe benefits are determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to be conditions prevalent in the state of Illinois and shall be the minimum requirements for janitorial workers under the Illinois Finance Procurement Code.  Retroactive reimbursement is required if less than the prevailing wage was paid at any time.
