ILLINOIS PREVAILING WAGE RATES

 

JANITORIAL

Jurisdiction:                   KENDALL COUNTY

 

Wages:                         JANITOR:            START:                       $  9.15/Hour

                                                            STEP 1:                     $  9.60/Hour

                                                            STEP 2:                     $10.04/Hour

                                                            STEP 3:                     $10.49/Hour

                                                            STEP 4:                     $10.97/Hour

                                                            STEP 5:                     $11.46/Hour

                                                            STEP 6:                     $14.30/Hour

 

All janitors will enter at the start rate and will move to step 1 after the first 60 days.  On July 1 of each year, employees will advance one step on the salary schedule except those employees who have not completed six months of employment will remain at the start salary.

                                   

Health & Welfare:            SINGLE:            $266.81/Month

                                    FAMILY:            $567.11/Month

 

Pension:                        12.85% of gross

 

Vacation:                      Upon initial employment, vacation will be earned at the rate of 6.67 hours per month.  maximum vacation days permitted at the conclusion of one year’s employment is ten days.  Additional vacation days shall accrue as follows:

                                   

                                    Year   1          10 days

                                    Year   5          15 days

                                    Year 10        20 days

                                    Year 20        25 Days

 

 

These wage rates and fringe benefits are determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to be conditions prevalent in the state of Illinois and shall be the minimum requirements for janitorial workers under the Illinois Finance Procurement Code.  Retroactive reimbursement is required if less than the prevailing wage was paid at any time.
