Veteran

Welcome to the Healthcare Portal’s Veterans Page. When someone puts their life on the line to defend their country, it is shocking that they could even go one day without health insurance. And yet the federal government has let more than one million veterans go without health insurance, including approximately 70,000 in Illinois. Every veteran should have access to affordable, quality health insurance, and that’s why we created Veterans Care – a new program that offers access to affordable, comprehensive healthcare to veterans across Illinois. To find out more about our healthcare program for veterans click on the program icons below.

Veterans Services Officers (VSO)

Veterans Services Officers (VSO) helps veterans apply for Veterans Care Health Insurance as well as individual disability benefits and state and federal benefits and grants for health-related needs such as adaptations to make a home wheel chair accessible.
