What is Governance?

When is Governance Needed?

 

As a general rule, Governance is needed anytime entities are making major IT changes or adding something new. Governance is required for all organizations under the Governor unless exempted by Legislation. Click here for When is Governance Needed?

 

What is the Governance Process?

 

Governance is a series of steps called Gates.

  • Gate One is the Project Charter,
  • Gate Two includes the Business and Technical Requirements,
  • Gate Three is the Deployment Design,
  • Gate Four is the Post Implementation Review and
  • Gate Five is the Exception Process.
