  2005 State of the State  

During his 2005 State of the State Address delivered Thursday, February 3 before a joint session of the General Assembly, Governor Rod Blagojevich detailed plans to help Illinoisans achieve their goals of earning a good living, providing a solid education to their children, obtaining affordable health care and spending more time with their families. The Governor reviewed the strides the state has made in these areas during the first two years of his administration and unveiled new plans to do more.

SPRINGFIELD – During his 2005 State of the State Address delivered today before a joint session of the General Assembly, Governor Rod Blagojevich detailed plans to help Illinoisans achieve their goals of earning a good living, providing a solid education to their children, obtaining affordable health care and spending more time with their families. The Governor reviewed the strides the state has made in these areas during the first two years of his administration and unveiled new plans to do more.
