Governor
Rod Blagojevich, in his first State of the State address to the joint session
of the General Assembly, and the people of Illinois, provided direction, challenges,
and a vision of hope. Presenting a snapshot of the current status of the State
of Illinois, the Governor outlined a plan that will enhance the lives of citizens
across the state while, at the same time, remedy areas that have fallen into
neglect. The 2003 State of the State address was about hope, and a future.
