About The Institute for Training and Development
The Illinois Department of Human Rights' (IDHR) Institute for Training and Development offers a wide range of trainings related to the Illinois Human Rights Act and workplace trends centered on issues of discrimination in the workplace. These courses are designed to increase knowledge and awareness of potential hot-button issues and offer solutions to employers and employees on how to appropriately handle situations as they arise.
The primary mission of IDHR is to enforce anti-discrimination laws and promote equal opportunity. In order to help further our mission, the Institute for Training and Development continues to monitor laws and trends in order to provide our clients with the most up to date information.
These year-round learning opportunities are offered to private-sector, government, and public participants throughout the State of Illinois.
Flexible Delivery Options
IDHR's classes are taught by certified trainers with more than a decade of real-world experience and first-hand knowledge in human and civil rights. Our small trainee-to-trainer ratio means you will benefit from a uniquely personalized approach.
Our interactive style utilizes a combination of proven adult learning techniques and real-world case studies to create a high impact training environment that is both informative and engaging. Our curriculum breaks down legal statutes in a way that allows for ease of retention so that anyone at any level can learn about important laws.
Customization options are available on a limited basis in order to help organizations maximize their resources and meet their specific needs. Our training curriculum segments can be adapted to a variety of timing and space considerations.
