Workforce Development

The State of Illinois is committed to cultivating a well-trained workforce.  By connecting employers to potential employees or helping individuals find a job, upgrade their skills or train for a new career, Illinois is creating a first-class workforce through its various workforce programs such as the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) or the Trade Adjustment Assistance Program (Trade).

Following an assessment of employability skills, those seeking assistance can access employment and training services that prepare them for self-sustaining wages in occupations that meet Illinois’ businesses need for skilled workers.

DCEO is partnering with several agencies on a demonstration project for ACCELERATED manufacturing training tailored directly to employer demand. If you are interested in becoming qualified for good-paying skilled occupations or are an employer looking for skilled workers visit the ATIM website (www.ilworknetmanufacturing.com) to learn more.
