On a sun-drenched battlefield near Gettysburg, PA, at the dedication of the Soldier’s National Cemetery, President Abraham Lincoln delivered what would come to be one of the most iconic speeches in the history of the United States, if not the world. November 19, 2013 marks the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s address, and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum invites you to join us for a week’s worth of events commemorating the Gettysburg Address.

Over the years, Mr. Lincoln’s most famous speech has been displayed at the Gettysburg Battlefield, the presidential museum of Gerald Ford, the Chicago History Museum, and is now currently on display here at its home in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. The Gettysburg Address will continue to be on display through November 2013 as part of the festivities celebrating its 150th anniversary before being placed back in our vault for an extended period of time.
