SPRINGFIELD – Staff of the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA) main office, which is located at 421 E. Capitol Avenue in Springfield, will relocate to the following address:

The move is scheduled to run December 3 through December 10, 2010. Director Charles D. Johnson sent notification to providers thanking them for patience and understanding during the relocation process, as well as for their ongoing dedication to serving older adults in Illinois.
Due to the move, the Senior HelpLine and Circuit Breaker/Illinois Cares Rx automated phone system will be inactive as of noon on Thursday, December 9. The automated phone system is scheduled to resume full function and accept calls at 8:30 a.m., on Monday, December 13. For assistance with the
Circuit Breaker/Illinois Cares Rx program, please access the website at
www.state.il.us/aging/1rx/cbrx/cbrx-main.htm or visit the Willard Ice Building at 101 W. Jefferson Ave., in Springfield, for on-site consultation. The Elder Abuse Hotline, 866-800-1409, will be routed to the after-hours line to allow the continued reporting of suspected elder abuse. All phone and fax numbers to reach staff as well as numbers for use by the general public will remain the same; however, there will be some temporary service disruption as telephone lines and equipment are disconnected and moved to the new location.
